The Neighbourhoods

Nørrebro

Nørrebro is a lively and colorful area of Copenhagen with a multi-ethnic flavor just minutes away from the center of town. Over the past few decades, Nørrebro has evolved from being a neglected working class district to one of Copenhagens hottest neighbourhoods, challenging Vesterbro for the title of the city's 'hipster'.

The are has not lost its edge - it is still diverse, colorful and often with a multicultural mix and an influx of young locals. Here you will find trendy bars and fashionable designer shops alongside cheap kebab places.

Vesterbro

Vesterbro has in recent years changed from being a working-class section and notorious area of the city to being one of Copenhagen's hippest districts today. It is each to reach Vesterbro from Town Hall Square or the Central Station, and there are many small, interesting designer shops and a variety of ethnic and Danish restuarants and bars.

Vesterbro is an area of contrasts, where old meets new, where fashionable and expensive is mixed with second hand, and where young families live next door to the retired worker.

Østerbro

Wide boulevards, delicacies, designer shops, green oases and Denmark's most famous statue. The district Østerbro is nice and exclusive, but at the same time realxed and completely laid back. Østerbro is one of the city's most attractive residential areas, especially for families and young children.

Østerbro is one of the greenest areas in the city and it is close to the water with a new beach park at Svanemøllen. Søerne (The Lakes), Kastellet (The Citadel) and The Little Mermaid are within walking distance.

Inner City

Museums, theme parks, shopping and restaurants of all kind. The Inner City of Copenhagen has it all. Enjoy the narrow streets, the cozy squares and the laid back atmosphere of the Latin Quarter as well as the charming Nyboder District with the old sailor houses. In the Inner City, you can find plenty of life but also places to relax.

The many attractions in the heart of Denmark's capital are all within walking distance and the best way to experience the area is on a stroll.
